Between 2024 and 2025, Dr. Gregory Vogel, Cornell University, grew a total of 755 accessions for imaging of their fruit, including 26 that were evaluated in both 2024 and 2025. Fruits were determined to be at their harvest maturity based on subjective evaluation. Each plot in the field was visited twice per week over the course of the growing season, and plots were harvested once it was determined that the majority of the plants in the plot featured fruit that had obtained their maximum size without any ripening-associated changes in color or firmness. These fruits were imaged in a light box against a uniform blue background along with a color card and a QR-encoded label.
