Resistance to Colorado Potato Beetle. Seedlings were tranplanted to the field on June 4th, 2025 as one 5-hill plot each at the Hancock Agricultural Research Station in Hancock Wisconsin. Plots were scored on July 27th. They were scored RR if they had no CPB beetle or larvae present and there was no visual feeding damage. They were scored SR if beetles or larvae were present, but there was no visual feeding damage. They were scored SS if beetles or larvae were present and visual damage was observed. Note that the S here means very little susceptability, just above zero CPB present and zero damage observed. These jamesii plots were in 4 rows adjacent to 12 rows of about 700 plots of S. andigenum which all had substantial CPB presence and damage.
