| 0 | PI 708603 | 'TifTB' | Arachis hypogaea L. subsp. hypogaea | Georgia, United States | PVPO | | Not Available | 2025 | DEVELOPED | | | | | | | White mold is one of the most damaging diseases of peanut with regards to both cost of control and yield loss in the southeastern United States. TifTB is a high-oleic acid peanut genotype with a high level of resistance to white mold. Looking at both the percent of inoculated plants that had no disease and the average length of the white mold "hit", TifTB had significantly better resistance to white mold than the most commonly grown cultivar, Georgia-06G. Georgia-12Y has been considered the standard resistant check for white mold. TifTB exhibited a high percent of inoculated plants that had no disease in comparison to Georgia-12Y in 2021 and 2023. TifTB also has a high level of resistance to tomato spotted wilt virus. TifTB exhibited very good pod yield in multi-location variety trials. Grades were at or near the top for all variety comparisons. TifTB is a runner market-type with seed size slightly smaller that Georgia-06G and slightly larger than Georgia-12Y. | 2192725 | PI 708603 |
