Neither of the two plants received conforms to D. buxifolium, but both appear to be different, and may represent interspecific hybrids of unknown parentage. One has sparse stellate hairs across the abaxial leaf surface as well as densely stellate-pubescent abaxial midveins. The other's leaves are glabrous but the petiole is densely covered in stellate hairs that are divided to the base, not scales.
