11G 33298'Nebraska Feral-A'Cannabis sativa L. Nebraska, United StatesNE9PLANTNot Available2022DONATEDPRE 2020Wild materialFrom donor Edgar Winters in conversation with zjs 2022-10-24: " Confusingly named 'Nebraska Feral'. Seems similar to Boone Co Feral. Some individuals with variegation. Accession was (or attempted to be) included in the 2024 USDA-ARS Hemp Germplasm Laboratory and HudsonAlpha genome sequencing and phenotyping trial in PGRU Wellington Zone 01 [curator notes 2024:] Appears typical US feral morphology. Likely susceptible to powdery mildew.

Further conversations 20260804, donor indicated that he received the Illinois seed from the locals, they found it and called it ditch weed. The Nebraska Feral seed we received from a young lady that was working there and she collected it during a seminar. They never germinated the seeds but passed onto institutes with hemp breeding programs. Donor indicates that seeds were collected literally from ditches.
