The population of over 200 plants covered an area of approximately 150m x 3m on thin, clay soil over limestone. Representative vegetation insluded Juniperus ashei, Celtis laevigata, Sideroxylon lanuginosum, Berberius trifoliolata, Rhus aromatica, Eriogonum longifolium, Krameria lanceolata, Gaillardia pulchella, Hedeoma acinoides, and Warnockia scutellarioides.
