This accession (a single clone?) was reacquired through North Central Regional Plant Introduction Station at Ames, Iowa from the University of New Hampshire at Durham, to whom we distributed material in 1985. In 2007, visiting staff from Ames were impressed by its high performance over most other plants of this species and even other genera, and became interested in evaluating it through the NC-7 Regional Woody Ornamental Trials program. Cuttings were sent to Ames in 2008 and 2009, and plants grown from cuttings of the resulting plants were returned to the USNA in 2015. Our last remaining plants of NA 51058 died several years ago but several other accessions from this expedition continue to grow well.2191326PI 479427 NA 82431
