Open disturbed field. Flat. Sandy loam soil. Beets spread across the site but highest numbers by small ditch.
Wild material
Collected from a total Beta population of 1000's of plants in an area 3000 sq m. Both B.v.maritima and B. macrocarpa collected at this site. Approximate species mix was 77% B.v. maritima and 23% B. macrocarpa.
