an illegitimate, superfluous name (Madrid ICN Art. 52) as Moench cited Pyrus amelanchier L. f., thereby including the replaced synonym, Mespilus amelanchier L., of Amelanchier ovalis Moench, which ought to have been adopted (see Madrid ICN Art. 52 Ex. 7 & 8)
